About This Site
FlyerArt is a public online gallery of nightclub and rave flyer art by graphic designers of the world, these inspired works of art have been excellent examples of the explosion of desktop publishing, and the creativity of youth culture. Artists can broaden their exposure when thousands of duplicates of their art migrate across the state, being handed to clubbers, stacked in record shops and coffee houses, and slipped under windshield wipers at the club.
In the Beginning…
FlyerArt.com has been up and running since 1997, and we were in serious need of an upgrade – our old interface was clunky, hard to navigate and made it impossible to find the actual flyers. This new WordPress install using the Mansion Theme will offer an easy glimpse of a daily dose of old flyer designs. We use the free Google’s Web Font Black Ops One for titles on our site. Follow our RSS feed for a daily nostalgia dose.
Care to Comment?
Please add to the conversation by commenting on individual flyers with event details (or your vague memories) and date or designer information. We want to be the online encyclopedia of 1990-2010 Rave and Nightclub Flyer Designs! Don’t fear registration – we won’t use your account information for any other purposes (no email lists), just data accountability!
We require that you register with our site before you can comment, and every comment is approved by the webmaster. Sorry, we’re full-up on spambots, who cheerfully leave tons of messages on our posts.
Update 2012
We now post a flyer every 12 hours, so there’s always something new when you visit! We’re hustling adding tons of new flyers and ‘zines – we’ve have several thousand images still in need to be cataloged and uploaded! We’ve recently revamped our Search. It has a permanent home just below our logo, and our newly developed search results include image thumbnails, making it easier to spot the flyer you may be looking for. We’re tagging our flyers with year when we upload them, so it’s easy to see all the flyers produced in 1999.
